Rima Fakih, the 2010 Miss USA winner, avoided jail time during sentencing last week regarding her drunk driving case. Fakih was driving 60 miles per hour, in a 30 mile per hour zone, before police pulled her over last December. She registered twice the legal limit for alcohol on two separate breath tests. Fakih said she was relieved that she avoided jail. Her crime carried a maximum sentence of 93 days in jail. Instead, the judge sentenced her to perform 20 hours of community service, to pay $600 in fines and costs, and to attend an alcohol safety class.
