There will never be a situation where the benefit or need to drive drunk will outweigh the risks associated with it. Whenever someone gets behind the wheel of a vehicle after drinking or consuming some sort of drug that decreases their ability to operate the vehicle safely, they pose a risk to not only themselves but everybody they share the road with. A Cape Coral, Florida, man being testing by police for driving under the influence, tried doing a cartwheel in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant during the testing. Christopher Bidzinski, 30 years-old, had placed an order at the McDonald’s the night of January 23, 2018. The Cape Coral police were called when Mr. Bidzinski seemed intoxicated and was driving. Police found Mr. Bidzinski in his truck, which was still running, slumped slightly in the seat and eating, in the store parking lot. Before police started to check his reactions, he told officers he wasn’t going to be able to pass the testing.
The Cape Coral police report said when an officer asked him to get out of his truck, Mr. Bidzinski immediately grabbed the vehicle to keep his balance and then he turned around, placed his hands behind his back and asked to be taken to jail. During the DUI testing, Mr. Bidzinski told the officer to “watch this” and tried to perform a cartwheel. Further testing by police failed when Mr. Bidzinski fell down backwards during a one-leg stand test. He was arrested on DUI charges after his failure during testing. A opened mini bottle of Chardonnay wine was alsofound in his vehicle and officers smelled a strong oder of alcohol coming off Mr. Budzinski. He refused to take a breath test.
