Rafael Moreno was allegedly driving while intoxicated on January 20, 2014 when he crashed into one Allan Sauberan’s car. Mr. Sauberan was seriously hurt in the accident, but did not provide details regarding his injuries in his lawsuit.

Mr. Sauberan filed his lawsuit in the Jefferson County, Texas District Court and is seeking damages for pain and suffering, mental anguish, physical impairment, medical expenses, and lost wages. He is asking for punitive damages as well. The amount of damages being sought is unspecified. The lawsuit alleges that Mr. Moreno acted with conscious indifference to the rights, safety and welfare of others, failed to maintain a safe stopping distance, failed to stop for police, drove at a dangerous and high rate of speed, and drove while impaired.
